ACKERS OF BACCHUS DINNER
January 25, 2008 Backers of Bacchus Dinner and Live Auction Huntsville Museum of Art Cocktails 6:30PM - 7:00 PM Dinner 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM Live Auction 8:30 PM $175 per person AA gourmet meal featuring Thomas Fogarty Winery and Vineyards wines will be provided by 801 Franklin. Chef de Cuisine Joseph Kindred has impressive culinary credentials: A graduate of Johnston and Wells Culinary Arts, he interned in Washington, C.C. at the National Press Club and honed his skills in Charleston, South Carolina, before joining 801 Franklin.
Menu Buttered Hors d'eouvres/Open Bar Parmesan Tartlets with Kalamata Olives & White Truffle Oil Peking Duck Roll Belgian Endive with Herbed Boursin Cheese & Confetti Vegetables Salad Course Alabama Watercress Salad Manchego Cheese, Rye Croutons, Candied Pecans & Orange Honey Peppercorn Vinaigrette Housemade Bread & Butter Entrée Duo of Land and Sea Char-Grilled Painted Hills Filet Mignon Finished with Pinot Noir Demi Glace & Sautéed Scallop Finished with White Wine Butter Sauce, Fried Leeks Served with Roasted Purple Fingerling Potatoes & Haricots Verts Dessert Hazelnut Custard Profiteroles with Dark Chocolate Drizzle and Frangelico The event will include both a silent and a live auction. Perry Berns of Perry Berns Gallery, Dallas, Texas, will conduct a live auction which will include original art, themed dinners, trips, fine jewelry and wine lots. At the end of the evening, tradition will continue with a special drawing, recognizing supporters of this event. The featured winery will be the Thomas Fogarty Winery and Vineyards.
