Letter from the Museum’s Executive Director
We need you! The Huntsville Museum of Art’s 2013 Annual Giving Campaign is now underway. As I’m sure you know, this campaign solicits donations from dedicated members above and beyond their membership dues. HMA relies on your contribution to Annual Giving to provide needed operating revenue not met through membership dues alone.
Your gift also affords us the opportunity to present important travelling exhibitions that would otherwise remain unseen locally. One such exhibit is this year’s heavily visited, widely acclaimed and personally evocative Memories of World War II; Photographs from the Archives of The Associated Press. If you saw the exhibition and/or read the moving accounts of HMA members and benefactors, Frank Troup and Stan Minkinow, US Navy Pilot and Holocaust Survivor, respectively, in the latest edition of Art Views, you’ll understand.
The Annual Giving Campaign also allows us to foster arts education, a key component of our mission, notably through our Museum Academy, which now attracts eminent instructors from across North America. Your additional support also helps to sustain programs like our Voices of our Times series, which brings nationally recognized authors, artists and designers to the Museum to share their stories up close and personal.
Your fully tax deductible contribution to our Annual Giving Campaign, in any amount, will, of course, be included and recognized in your cumulative giving amount for the year.
Please accept my sincerest thanks in advance for your generosity. With your help, this singular cultural institution, in the heart of Alabama’s greatest city, will continue to strive for and attain ever-greater heights.

How can the Huntsville Museum of Art afford to present so many important, exciting, vibrant, and critically-acclaimed visual arts exhibitions, PLUS art education, fun-filled events, and creative experiences for you and your entire family?
It’s a gift.
